It's a 9" Aluminum collander. I actually had two and sold / traded both last week. I have a build thread here -

Alex Newborn has a good thread, sadly his images seem to be missing. But he gets into what makes a collander screen accurate.

Jack Doud did a good one also with a larger collander -

Hope this helps.

Here's the only real picture I have of mine. I gave it to a friend a few months ago before I could snap any good pictures.

Yeah, I'm not sure what it is about Facebook pics. The pictures are all still there in their albums, the links just stop working over time. (One of those reasons I wish we could edit our posts here.)

Here's my album on FB:

And here are some of the resistors I chose.

I recommend finding a 9" strainer with a star pattern. They're much easier to work with than the actual colanders. They're identical in size and pattern, but lack the side handles which must be removed anyway to match the film.

(Left: colander with handles and feet removed, some resistors added. Right: strainer just the way I bought it, before removing the feet.)

Any good electronics stockist should have a supply of suitable different-coloured wires. As they won't be carrying a current you won't have to worry if the gauge isn't quite spot-on. :)
