my starting parts
For the record the parts are:
Farm & Fleet
• 3/4” Conduit Locknuts (5 pack)
• 3/4” CPVC Iron pipe Male Adapter x2
• ½” x ¾” CPVC Reducer Coupling
Menards
• ¾” x 5’ CPVC Pipe
• ½” EMT-1/2” Flex Coupler
• 2x4 – ¼ Soft Side Goggles
I used a pipe cutter to give clean, straight cuts of the CPVC Pipe. Then cleaned and glued the pieces together to make the eye pieces. I also screw tightened the EMT Flex Coupler on.
Then I took out the protective screen on the goggles and measured it. Well what do you know, a 2x4 inch mask has a screen that is 2x4 inches. I measured the outer diameter of the threaded part (1 inch), and figured about what distance apart would be good for them. I took a piece of thin plywood that has paper facing on both sides and cut that to size, then drilled holes.
Then I put the wood in, screwed the lens in, and used the Conduit Locknuts to secure them on the inside.
Still to do:
Paint
Add knobs
Add a little flashing light and green lights to the inside of the lenses
Cut the extra threads of the lenses off
