Hey guys was curious if anyone was able to fit the gbfans wand ribbon cable into the tube connecting the pack to the wand? Seems almost possible but didn't want to force it or damage the cable. Any tips or suggestions are appreciated or done need a new hose?

The hardest part is getting the connector through. If your gentle enough you could take the connector apart and slip the ribbon cable through and then put the connector back on.

I believe folk have suggested bending the connector parallel to the cable and taping it to the cable, then pulling it through with string. I'll be trying the same soon so be interested to hear how you get on

I'm no electrical engineer so I was worried how much to bend the cable...I did end up taping it and placing some paracord but it got stuck about half way through...taking the end caps off this cable seems abit technical for me...I managed to get it back out and just ordered a 1inch wire cuppling...hoping it doesn't look to big but i feel that's the easiest way with out a ton of stress on the cable

On the 80% and life size you just take the screws out of the clamp, and both ends are just hot glued on the pack. Have to take the mobo off to get to the glue.

Citizenbuster, zero2tool is requesting help getting an actual ribbon cable, not the static one on the outside of the pack, from the electronics in the pack to the neutrona wand through the wire loom connecting the two. I honestly haven't messed with anything like that, so I have nothing to suggest.

Whoops, I should of read the whole thread before answering, lol. If haven't changed out stock loom, I would get some 3/4 split loom. Easy threading the cable and shouldn't have any trouble slipping connector through the hole on the pack.

I don't know about unclipping it, but I do know you can either cut it and replace the ends, or just make a replacement.

Yeah, I know. I'm asking if it's a JST connector, I don't own the GBFans kits but I know JSTs.
